What we are trying to do
After a wedding, concert, or reunion — at home or abroad — the pictures live on a photographer’s drive, a family group chat, or a Drive folder nobody can search. Guests scroll. Creatives get chased. The night dissolves into “send me the ones with me.”
Our goal is simpler: put a QR at the event, let people find themselves, and send them home with copies. Face search stays on the phone, after a clear yes. Originals stay private. Previews stay watermarked. The creative still owns the gallery.

How deep the solution goes
- Face search starts only after consent. We follow the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA): the selfie is used to find matches in that gallery, not stored as a profile. NDPA.
- Creatives buy a package per night on one studio account, go live, and share a QR. Guests see watermarked previews; originals stay behind the match.
- Small and Medium packages are priced in Naira (NGN). Large nights go through questions, a chat with the studio, and a quote before anyone pays. Creatives can host events at home or abroad.
Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023
Italewa follows the NDPA as our operating privacy law — for every guest and creative who uses the product, wherever they are. Event photos, accounts, and optional face search are personal data. Face search is sensitive personal data: we ask first, we do not sell it, and we do not keep the selfie as a profile. You can access, correct, or ask us to delete your data, and you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
