Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA)

Effective 17 September 2026. ITALEWA is built to follow the NDPA and the guidance of the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC). Guests and creatives use Italewa from many countries. Because we operate from Nigeria, the NDPA is the privacy law we apply for everyone.

Our commitment

7Hundred Percent / Sevenhundredpercent operates ITALEWA. Registered office: 1, Ndawuse, Opp. Jostos Place Hotel, Off Norbert E. Offor Street, Cadastral Zone B09, Kado Kuchi District, Abuja, FCT, Nigeria. We treat event photos, account details, and optional face search as personal data. Face search is sensitive personal data under the Act. We do not sell it. We do not use it for advertising.

Principles we apply

  • Lawfulness and consent. Face search starts only after you tick yes on the event page. You can browse without scanning.
  • Purpose limitation. A selfie is used to find your photos in that gallery, then discarded. It is not a lasting identity file. Event Center highlights after a night ends are a separate, stated purpose: cover and veiled faces only. Ended galleries are not reopened.
  • Data minimisation. We keep a consent timestamp and policy version (italewa-ndpa-v1), not the selfie itself as a profile.
  • Integrity and confidentiality. Originals stay private. Public pages show watermarked previews. Sessions use HTTPS.
  • Accountability. These pages, the consent checkbox, and our privacy contacts are how we show our work.

Your rights

Under the NDPA you may access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing, and you may withdraw consent. Write to [email protected] or use the contact page. You may also complain to the NDPC: ndpc.gov.ng.
